Basic Mechanical Ventilation Course


Who are the faculty ?:
       National course conveners are (2019) Dr. Bakul Parekh (Chairperson of Pediatric Intensive Care Chapter) and Dr. Praveen Khilnani (Vice Chancellor of College of Pediatric Critical Care), while the current course director is dr. Madhumati Otiv, Pediatric Intensivist, KEM Hospital, Pune. Faculty for this course will be experienced pediatric intensivists preferably the teachers (around 8)of College of Pediatric Critical Care and those graduated from college of pediatric critical care.

How many delegates can be accommodated for a course?
       Around 40 to 50 is a comfortable number.

What is the cost of this course?
       This course needs a venue with at least 4 rooms / classroom, with at least one having audio-visuals (seating upto 60). This is best done in an academic institute with adequate space (free of cost) and also equipment (Ventilators/ airway devises / manikins etc.). Faculty (to be chosen from close-by places in consultation with the course director) needs to be provided for accommodation and travel only. Rs. 1000/- per delegate needs to be paid to the Pediatric Intensive Care Chapter through online / chq transaction. Ventilation manual and other printing (Que paper, Certificates) charges will be paid by the organizers. Delegate fees to be decided by the organisers.
