Meeting of the Amalgamation Committee of the College of Pediatric Critical Care, hereinafter called “The College” and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics Intensive Care Chapter (hereinafter called the “Chapter”)

Members Present:

It was decided to rename the College Executive Body as the “IAP Pediatric Intensive Care College Council” (hereinafter called “the Council”)

Proposed members are:

• 2. Dr. Praveen Khilnani – Vice Chancellor
• 3. Dr. Suchitra Ranjit – Vice Chancellor 2020
• 4. Dr. Anil Sachdev – Joint Treasurer
• 5. Dr. Rajeev Uttam – Joint Secretary
• 6. Dr. Bala Ramachandran
• 7. Dr. Satish Deopujari
• 8. Dr. G.V. Basavaraj – Chancellor 2020
• 9. Dr. Jayashree Muralidharan
• 10. Dr. Dinesh Chirla
• 11. Dr. Rakshay Shetty

2. The “College of Pediatric Critical Care” is an integral part of the IAP Intensive Care Chapter

• a. It shall be the sole academic wing of the Chapter
• b. Major decisions will be ratified by the EB of the Chapter
• c. The academic wings of both the College and Chapter will be combined, along with the teachers’ pools

3. All the founder members of the IAP ICC will be nominated as National Advisors

4. The Chapter Chairperson will be the ex-officio Chancellor of the College during his/her tenure

5. The present Chancellor of the College, Dr. Praveen Khilnani, will be designated as the Vice-Chancellor of the College till December 2019. Dr. Suchitra Ranjit will be the Vice Chancellor for the next two years (2020-2021)

6. The Vice-Chancellor and Council Members of the College will be elected from and by the “Teachers Pool”

7. The term for all Council posts (excluding the Chancellor) will be TWO years

8. All Academic activities of the Chapter, such as Diploma/Fellowships, Nursing training programs and examinations, will be conducted by the College. The accreditation of all institutions and teachers will be the responsibility of the College Council and a report will be given to the Secretary & Chairperson of the Chapter

9. Both the Chapter and College logos will be used on all academic activities, brochures, certificates and in the academic sections of the Chapter website

10. All other courses (EPIC, BPICC, APICC, FPICC), Conferences, Journals, Website etc. will be handled by the Chapter with the help of members and senior advisors

11. All activities to be undertaken by the College will be pre-budgeted and ratified by the EB of the Chapter

12. All Financial matters will be handled by the Chapter

13. The Annual Conference of the Chapter, NCPIC, will be conducted by the Chapter. The Vice-Chancellor of the College will be the ex-officio Co-Chairperson of all scientific Committees of the Chapter Conferences

14. All the College academic activities will be under the Chapter and no parallel activities/programs will be allowed. It was further decided to keep the College Constitution dormant for the next 2 years till the working pattern becomes smooth and later it can be dissolved when both sides are satisfied (subject to ratification by the College EB)

15. The websites of the College and Chapter will be merged. The website will be managed by Dr. Vinayak Patki and Dr. Madhumati Otiv

16. An Accreditation Committee will be constituted from the Teachers’ pool as follows:

17. An Examination Committee will be constituted as follows:

18. The Constitution Review Committee (CRC) will review the proposed changes to the Constitution and these will be put up for ratification in the Chapter AGM.

19. The Chapter Constitution will be the Supreme document governing all activities of the Chapter and College.

20. The meeting ended with a Vote of Thanks to the Mumbai IAP for hosting the meeting and to the Chair.
